Review & Giveaway: Free Spirit Publishing: Our Emotions and Behavior book series

With four kids under the age of four, there are a lot of big feelings in our house. Sometimes kids just have a hard time learning to manage their feelings. I recently came across a great set of books from Free Spirit Publishing, the Our Emotions and Behavior Series by Sue Graves.

Each one of these books focuses on different feelings & helps kids connect how their behaviors and actions are related to their feelings. My boys really loved this series. The pictures are great and colorful; they love to just sit and look through the books. Their favorite is Not Fair, Won't Share...since there are some major sharing issues in our house!

Small children have big feelings. The Our Emotions and Behavior series uses cheerful, brightly illustrated stories to help kids understand how their emotions and actions are related—and how they can learn to manage both. Follow along as Noah, Ben, Nora, and their friends discover ways to deal with fears, sadness, rules, and sharing. At the end of each book, a two-page series of pictures invites kids to tell a story in their own words. A special section for adults suggests discussion questions and ideas for guiding children to talk about their feelings.

Review & Giveaway: Little Green Books are Green Books for Green Readers!

My kiddos love to read & I love to read to them. I especially love to read them stories that teach them important lessons. I was super excited when I found Little Green Books!

Little Green Books is a new series of books striving to get kiddos excited about going green. They cover topics ranging from recycling and replanting to endangered animals and much more, I really love that they promote earth-friendly living. Each book is even made from recycled materials!

We got to try out these super cute books! My kiddos loved that they were lift-the-flap books & I loved their durability!

Little Green Books is a new eco-friendly series from Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing Division. Each book in this series will be devoted to educating children about the benefits of being green. What sets our books apart from other "green" books is that in addition to the themes, the manufacturing of these books is also environmentally friendly. Our books are printed on recycled materials with vegetable or soy inks. This initiative will continue as the series progresses, from storybooks to cloth books to novelty board books. A unique, innovative new series, Little Green Books plant the seeds of eco-friendly consciousness at an early age so that we can grow a generation of earth-friendly readers.

I love to read my kiddos books. Especially books that will teach them valuable lessons. Free Spirit Publishing offers tons of titles, all that have your child's social, emotional, and educational needs in mind.

We were sent Manners Time to review. My husband is BIG on manners for our boys. This book was SO cute. It's really brought up a dialogue with our boys. I try to read it to them once a day to keep the lessons fresh in their mind while they're developing their manners. Free Spirit Publishing has a great Toddler Tools series; I want them all!

Little One Books Review & Giveaway!

Share a magic moment with the child in your life.

I don't think there is anything I love more than pulling my little boy onto my lap, snuggling up, and reading one of his favorite books. It slows down our day, gives us some quality time together, and is a learning experience for him all at once. He loves to be the one to choose which book we read, and enjoys talking about what is happening on each page.

It's no secret that reading to our children has many benefits. The more children are read to, the better they will become at reading. I'm always on the lookout for new books my boy will enjoy. Little One Books has an amazing amount of great books to choose from. They hand pick each item they sell, so you know all the products are of a quality you want to share with your family. They sent us How I Became a Pirate by David Shannon. My little guy absolutely loved this book. Not only is he very interested in pirates right now, but the illustrations of this book kept him engaged in the story. It's one of our new favorites!
