My poor washer gets a TON of use. We only have three people in our house (and a dog!) but we cloth diaper, so that adds a lot of washes. My husband also seems to have the need to change his clothes four or five times a day, so the hamper is constantly full every day! All this washer use means I was getting a case of smelly washer! After the clothes washer has been cleaned it's time to concentrate on removing that offensive mildew smell from your towels and clothing!
